A string of sports stars and Bollywood celebrities have given vent to their anger over the collapse of a flyover in Kolkata, questioning the negligence and 'corruption ingrained within us as a country' and stressing that it's "not an act of god".

The toll in the Kolkata flyover tragedy, which took place on Thurday, has risen to 24 by Friday morning. The disaster management teams continue efforts to find bodies and survivors trapped under the debris. (Read full report here)
