Fraudsters duping people with the lure of job with Konkan Railway
A gang of fraudsters has alleged duped a number of people under the pretext of offering them job placements in Konkan Railways.
The fraud came to light after a number of the victims approached Konkan Railways officials. The conmen are reportedly duping people by issuing fake letters for Oral Interview/ Document Verification for appointment in Konkan Railway and demanding and accepting money for the same.

"The letters are issued by these fraudulent persons on a fake letterhead of Konkan Railway, which shows incorrect contact numbers and mis-spelt name of the Organisation," said Vaishali Patange, chief PRO, Konkan Railway.
“General public is hereby cautioned to beware of such unscrupulous elements and not fall prey to their deceitful ways. Public in general, and candidates in particular, are advised to verify the source of such letters,” KR said in a statement.
The appointments in Konkan Railway are carried out through a set procedure for which the information is uploaded on Konkan Railway's official website www.konkanrailway.com. Any complaint regarding such type of persons may be brought to the notice of local police and to the vigilance department of Konkan Railway on 022-27587367.
