Renowned playback singer and Nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar, has a flat in Esha Ekta apartment, one of the buildings in Campa Cola compound
The nameplate on the ground floor displays the singer’s name. Neighbours said that her nephew Adinath Mangeshkar, son of her brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar, resides at flat no 802 on the eighth floor of the building.

When this reporter visited the flat, a person who did not wish to reveal his name said, “Adinath Mangeshkar is currently unavailable at this residence, but he may be at his Peddar Road residence.”
However, a source close to the singer confirmed that she owned a flat in the Isha Ekta building. “Didi always follows the rules and regulations and she must not have been aware of the illegality of the building,” said the source.
