Over the next few days, Mumbaikars can gear up for a laugh riot. The comedy festival, Weirdass Pajama, brings together more than 69 comedians across the country for three days of laughter.

Weirdass Comedy has conceptualised it, in partnership with Only Much Louder.

It will have programmes divided into three categories — Briefs, Boxers and Pajama — and events will be spread across venues in the city. The Briefs is a comedy experiential zone featuring stand-up acts and workshops. The Boxers features comedy performances, improv acts and comedy music bands. The Grand Pajama is a laugh-all day event at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) featuring five shows (four of which will debut at the festival) featuring the biggest names across comedy genres.

As part of the event, a comedy show entirely for kids (age 6 onwards) should be promising; Good Sports is a walk-through of the funny moments in Indian sports; Nation in Mourning is an act where comedians will perform a news comedy show; and Weirdass Master-Full is where comedians will perform their best acts. The grand finale will be the Weirdass Tandoor, a celebrity roast (where a person is subjected to comic insults in public as a counter to the toast).
