In a case of love-gone-wrong, a man slashed his 20-year-old girlfriend with a razor blade and then smashed her head into the wall of a lodge, injuring her severely. The incident occurred outside Dadar railway station on Monday as per reports by the Times of India.
The girl is a second year student from a college near the station. She suffered grievous injuries to her neck and head and has been admitted to KEM hospital for treatment. She is said to be in the ICU of the hospital and the Bhoiwada police have arrested the 22-year-old man. He has been charged with attempt to murder.
As per the police the victim and the man lived in Sangam Nagar at Wadala and were romantically involved for some time. The girl is said to have ended the relationship owing to the fact that they two belonged to different religions. The incident occurred when the accused went to the victim’s college and coaxed her on the pretext of having a ‘talk’ to Apsara lodge. While at the reception, the two looked at the tariffs for the various rooms and suddenly the man dragged the victim into one of the rooms and bolted it from inside. As per a police officer, " The sequence of events has been caught on a CCTV camera."
Hotel staff then heard the girl crying out in pain as the accused ran away from the scene of the crime. As per the hotel manager, he saw the girl crying and that her neck was bleeding. He said, “She was also holding her head. It appears the accused was angry when she refused to go ahead with their relationship and in fit of rage slashed her and banged her head on the wall as if he wanted to kill her.”
