The movie won in Best Director (George Miller), Best Action Movie, Best Actress in an Action Movie (Charlize Theron), Best Actor in an Action Movie (Tom Hardy), Best Production Design, Best Editing, Best Costume Design, Best Visual Effects, Best Hair and Make-up.
The awards gala, where Leonardo DiCaprio bagged the Best Actor Award for 'The Revenant' and Brie Larson won the Best Actress trophy for the 'Room', took place on Sunday night in Santa Monica, reports variety.com.
'Spotlight', directed by Tom McCarthy, was named as the Best Picture at the event.
The Best Comedy Film award was presented to 'The Big Short', and lead actor Christian Bale was handed the Best Actor In A Comedy for the same movie.
Amy Schumer won the Best Actress In A Comedy for the 2015 film 'Trainwreck', which is directed by Judd Apatow.
The Best Actor and Actress in a Supporting Role was given to Sylvester Stallone ('Creed') and Alicia Vikander ('The Danish Girl').
'Ex Machina', 'Inside Out' and 'Amy' bagged the Best Sci-Fi/Horror Movie, Best Animated Feature and Best Documentary Feature.
