The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Pune was formed in January 1966 under the provisions of the Maharashtra Act No. 41 of 1965. MSBSHSE conducts HSC Class 12th and SSC Class 10th Examinations in the state of Maharashtra through its nine Divisional Boards located at Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nasik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, Nagpur and Ratnagiri.
The Maharashtra Board conducts examination twice a year and the number of students appearing for the main examination is around 14 Lacs for HSC Class 12th and 17 Lacs SSC Class 10th , for the supplementary examination around 6 Lacs students are expected together. There are about 21000 schools (SSC) and 7000 (HSC) Higher Sec. Schools / Jr. colleges in the entire state.
MSBSHSE conduct HSC exam twice a year. In the similar manner, Maharashtra Board has conducted Class 12th board exam 2014. "Gangadhar Mhamane" also stated that, the Lok Sabha elections have not impacted the results. A glance at last year Class 12th Result date also proves that the declaration of 12th Result has not been delayed this year. Last year, the board had announced Maharashtra Board 12th Results on May 30 and 10th Results on June 7.
Candidates are eagerly waiting for their scores, so that they can plans their future accordingly. Board Chairman “Gangadhar Mhamane”, said that, the 10th Result declaration will take some time and will be declared around June 10, 2014 on mahresult. nic. in.
