Mahie Gill has been on a yo-yo diet. The actress has been following a cyclical pattern of repetitive loss and gain of body weight. As she is shooting for two films simultaneously, one that requires her to be fit as a fiddle and the other a slightly heavy look, Mahie has been maintaining her body shape according to the shoot schedules.

In Tigmanshu Dhulia’s sequel, she has a rustic, yet royal look. The filmmaker has asked her to gain weight to suit her character in the film. While in Apoorva Lakhia’s remake of a 1970s Amitabh Bachchan film, she plays an extremely glamourous character the one that was essayed by Bindu in the original. As she will be seen in a sexy avatar, the director has told her to be in shape to carry off the skimpy outfits.”

Says a source, “She has been following a diet to lose and gain weight to suit her two diverse roles. Recently she also had to be in top shape to shoot for the cover of a men’s magazine.”

Adds the source, “The most difficult part about shooting for these two films is not only that they are being shot in different cities but maintaining the drastically different looks in both the projects. It could take a toll on her health but she is balancing both with a proper diet and exercises with professional help. But she does not seem to mind as both films are giving her a chance to portray diverse roles.”
