Actress Mahika Sharma who hails from Assam was shocked after she learned about the news that former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi is no more.


Former Miss Teen Northeast says, "I'm really shocked to read about Tarun uncle. I have lost my dad again. His smile and a welcoming face is still in front of my eyes. I remember how he once said, 'smile on your troubles and you see how trouble turns your happiness'."


Mahika is popularly known for working in television shows like Ramayana and F.I.R also adds that she was trying to reach him during Diwali but she failed. "On Diwali, I was trying to ping uncle. But I failed then later on International Mens' Day I tried again but couldn't. I'm feeling so sorry that I couldn't reach him out. But I wish he keeps his blessings over me always. I wish he rests in people. I also wish to God that his family get the power to overcome the loss. I would have joined them but because of Covid, it won't be safe now. I will meet them once I plan to travel back Assam."


The former chief minister and veteran Congress leader from Assam, Tarun Gogoi, passed away on Monday, 23 November due to post COVID-19 complications.
