"The fire which broke around 8.30 p.m. is now under control. There were no casualties. People from inside the building were safely evacuated. Evacuation was an easier job as most of the offices had downed their shutters by 8 p m," Fire Services Minister Javed Khan, who visited the site, told the media.
He also said the department will investigate the cause of the fire.
The multi-storied building is located opposite the Birla Planetarium and houses several important offices.u00a0
