West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday congratulated the Indian team for retaining the Twenty20 World Cup for the Blind and said their achievement would inspire all differently-abled people of the country

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday congratulated the Indian team for retaining the Twenty20 World Cup for the Blind and said their achievement would inspire all differently-abled people of the country.


"Congratulations to the Indian team, world champions in Cricket for Blind. Your win will inspire all Indians who r differently abled. JaiHind," Banerjee posted on her Twitter handle.


Earlier in the day, India thrashed Pakistan by nine wickets in the final of the cricket Twenty20 World Cup for Blind at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
