Man hacks father to death over property dispute

A youth allegedly killed his father over a land dispute, police said today.

Mohammad Zahir (65), while sleeping in his mango orchard in Rasulpuram village in Dariyabad area last night, was attacked with crude bombs allegedly by his son Sohail (35) and later hacked by the son and his friends, they said.u00a0

Zahir died on the spot, police said. The incident was stated to be a fallout of a dispute between father and son over a certain land, that included the mango orchard, they said.

An FIR has been lodged in this connection, police said, adding that a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused. u00a0
