In course of the meeting, the traffic police officials also suggested to the civic body to increase the height of SV Road from Vile Parle to Goregaon, as residents had complained waterlogging upto a height of almost two feet. The mayor also informed police officials to fan out during the days of high tides and heavy rainfall in the chronic areas so as to direct and divert traffic.

In an attempt to curb the spread of malaria, the BMC also discussed additional measures for the prevention of the disease. One of the measures suggested was that the railways equip themselves with medicines to treat malaria at all Railway Hospitals in order to distribute the load of patients. Additionally, the Mayor has given the Railways an order to clear up all garbage from the stations.
