Karm Mulchandani hogged the limelight by notching up a fine hat-trick which helped Mumbai FC clinch a tight 3-2 win against a spirited JJ Academy in a semi-final match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) Youth (U-14) League at the Lions Municipal Sports Complex, Vile Parle, yesterday.
Striker Pratik Vaplkry netted both the goals for JJ Academy, who put up a strong fight. In the second semi-final, MSSA got the better of Goans SA 4-3 via the penalty shootout tie-breaker after the scores were deadlocked goalless at the end of regulation period.

Kris Benson, Anson Tauro, Nihal Dudwadkar and Amey Kadam were successful for MSSA in the tie-breaker, while Goans converted through Nilay Sole, Arya Giandharva and Ryan Shah.
Mumbai FC and MSSA will meet in the final, which is scheduled to be played on December 4 at 10.30am.
