What: She rose to fame at the age of 11 as a classical crossover singer before branching into pop music in 2005. By 2007, she had sold more than 10,500,000 albums worldwide.
Who: Katherine Jenkins

What: At the start of 2007, she made her first appearance in the young British rich list scoring the 62nd rank with an estimated wealth of ufffd9 million. She's gone a long way since.
Who: Leona Lewis

What: Leona rose to fame in 2006 as the winner of a reality show. Spirit became her fastest-selling debut album in both the UK and Ireland. Soon she'll be heading on her first world tour. 
Who: Cheryl Cole

What: Cheryl rose to fame in 2002 after becoming a member of pop group Girls Aloud through a show. She is married to football player Ashley Cole, though their marriage is on the rocks.

What: She debuted in 2003, and by 2006, she was UK's biggest-selling female artist. In 2008, Katie ranked seveth on the richest British musician list. But, by 2009 she had lost half her fortune thanks to recession.
