Just a few hours before their Champions League clash with Chelsea, Barca stars Lionel Messi and Dani Alves got into a brawl with some fans.
Barcelona stars Lionel Messi and Daniel Alves were involved in late night hotel spar with fans just hours before their big match with Chelsea.
The police were called to London’s swanky Grosvenor House Hotel following the brawl.
A fan named James McWatt, bumped into the pair in the corridor of the hotel, and asked Messi to sign a Barcelona shirt he had specially bought.

But as Messi went to oblige, Alves started shouting at James and his pals. Barca teammates, including Jose Pinto, Adriano, and Alexis Sanchez came out of their rooms to see what was going on. A club security guard had to break up the altercation.
“He was just about to when Daniel Alves put his arm in the way and started screaming at us ‘No’. He started going mental at us — shouting and screaming in Spanish. I walked away and heard it getting really heated and filmed it,” The Sun quoted McWatt, as saying.
“We returned to our rooms. But later hotel staff and two police officers came in and told us the Barcelona team wanted us out,” he added.
James revealed they were told they were banned for life from the hotel and led outside.
“We hadn’t been drinking and weren’t rowdy, just excited in anticipation of meeting Messi. The incident was unbelievable. My respect for Barcelona has been destroyed,” McWatt said.
Police said no offences were alleged or arrests made in this matter.
A hotel spokesman confirmed: “An incident involving a small number of guests took place. Four guests were asked to leave and did so peacefully.” u00a0
