Keeping in mind the soaring realty prices in the state, the Konkan Board decided to sell houses instead of plots in Thane, Ambarnath, Raigad, Konkan and Sindhudurg via lottery
Considering the skyrocketing realty prices in the state, Konkan Board of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has decided to construct affordable housing projects on 400 plots located in Thane, Ambarnath, Raigad, Konkan and Sindhudurg, rather than selling them through its lottery system.
Konkan Board Chief Officer Dr Bhausaheb Dangade said, “Earlier, we had plans to sell the 400 plots, but now we have decided to construct affordable housing projects on them. This will help MHADA generate more revenue and provide affordable housing to people.” Another official claimed the housing body has plots on prime locations in the above-mentioned areas.u00a0
