New Delhi: Actress Michelle Yeoh, famous for her roles in James Bond film 'Tomorrow Never Dies' and 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon', who was stranded in Nepal with fiance Jean Todt following the massive earthquake on April 25, will return to the disaster-hit country to help in rehabilitating the affected people.

The Malaysia-born actress, who is also the brand ambassador of 'Live to Love' foundation, will visit Nepal on May 15-18 to assist in the relief work being undertaken by Buddhist leader Gyalwang Drukpa, the spiritual head of the 1,000-year-old Drukpa Order based in India with around 1,000 monastic centres.

The foundation, set up by Gyalwang Drukpa, will formally adopt Ramkot village, located on the outskirts of Kathmandu, said a statement from the Buddhist leader's office.

Ramkot has a population of about 1,000 people.

The Kung Fu Nuns of the Drukpa Order are already involved in relief work in and around the Druk Amitabha Monastery.

Michelle was in Kathmandu accompanying Todt for the Federation Internationale De L'Automobile (FIA) Asia-Pacific Sport Regional Congress when the quake stuck.

While Todt is president of the world motorsport governing body, Michelle is its road safety ambassador.

They were evacuated with help from the FIA, The Kathmandu Post reported on April 28.

Gyalwang Drukpa is also the founder and spiritual director of the award-winning Druk White Lotus School in Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir, famous for being depicted as "Rancho's school" from Aamir Khan's film "3 Idiots".
