Former Australia coach Mickey Arthur's mother has died following a long battle with cancer

Arthur confirmed his mother, Lynne, had passed away in South Africa just days after he was sacked as Australia’s coach.

“It’s not a nice time for us as a family, but you know, that happens as well,” Arthur told reporters after landing here, where he lives with his wife and children. “I’ll be going to Joburg I think in about two days.”
