Metropolitan Commissioner of the Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority UPS Madan has promised MMRDA's women employees that “the authority will consider reimbursing medical bill of their parents”.

The announcement was made by Madan while addressing MMRDA employees on the occasion of it's 40th anniversary, which was celebrated at Shanmukhananda Hall, Matunga, on Thursday.

The Metropolitan Commissioner also complimented MMRDA employees and said, “Without your cooperation, the completion of many a mega project such as Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar Metro corridor, Chembur-Wadala Monorail corridor, Eastern Freeway, Santacruz-Chembur Link Road, Amar Mahal Junction flyover, Sahar Elevated wouldn’t have been possible”. He also appreciated the fact that “The employees maintain a very cordial bond with each other despite heavy responsibilities and the same is MMRDA’s strength”.

“We are very happy that the Metropolitan Commissioner has considered our various demands in a positive manner. We are sure MMRDA’s women employees will be pleased at his encouraging promise”, Mr.Siddharth Satvadhir, Chairman, Backward Class Employees’ Association, and Subodh Surve, Chairman, MMRDA Employees’ Union, echoed each other.

MMRDA employees, on the occasion, also enjoyed a Marathi play “Dhan-Ta-Dhan”, written and directed by Kedar Shinde starring Bharat Jadhav.
