Former Indian batsman and outgoing selector, Mohinder Amarnath wanted to replace MSD with Sehwag after India's dismal performance in England and Australia, a BCCI official told PTI yesterday on condition of anonymity
"Mohinder had a tiff with K Srikanth as he wanted to replace Dhoni with Virendra Sehwag (after India's eight Test losses in England and Australia)," the official said.
Today, the Board of Control for Cricket in India will appoint a new selection panel.
Mohinder ‘Jimmy’ Amarnath faces a stiff challenge from his former Delhi and India teammate Chetan Chauhan to stay in the national selection committee as the North Zone representative. It is learnt that certain Delhi administrators are pushing for Chauhan to get the post.
