Sandeep, who was dropped from the national team after a poor run at the London Olympic Games, was bought by Mumbai outfit for his reserve price of USD 27,800. Asked whether he was disappointed, Sandeep said: “Money is not everything in life. The league will be a big affair... a great tournament and I’m looking forward to playing in it.”
Australian defender Joel Caroll though ensured Sandeep gets a better pay package. Caroll was bought by Mumbai for $56,000 which means that Sandeep, being a marquee player will earn 15 percent more than that.
