MSRDC officials visit Mumbai-Pune Expressway to take stock of situation

Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Minister Eknath Shinde along with other MSRDC officials on Wednesday morning visited the Mumbai-Pune Express to take a review about the work that MSRDC is going to start.


From Thursday, the work of removing loose or dangerous boulders will be started. The work will be done in phases and the traffic will be stopped during the work for for one hour to few hours. The work will be done depending upon the traffic. The old highway is also working properly and if necessary vechiles will be diverted via the same.


The spider net of swiss technology will be installed soon. The inquiry of the landslide incident will also be conducted. According to the sources, in order to carry out the work, the section of Mumbai-Pune Expressway stretch between Khopoli and Khandala might remain close between 12 pm to 4 pm from Friday.
