An open-air gym inaugurated by Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray on Wednesday was pulled down by the BMC's local ward office on Thursday morning.
The ward official was reportedly unaware that the gym had necessary permissions. The ward officer has now assured Thackeray that the gym will be put back in no time.

On Wednesday, an open-air gym owned by Dino Morea at NS Road (Marine Drive) was inaugurated at the hands of Jacqueline Fernandes and Thackeray. In less than 24 hours, the local ward office pulled it down, calling it illegal.

One of the two gym sets was pulled down in the drive, which began at 9 am. However, after uproar and much embarrassment to the Sena, which rules the BMC, the ward officer admitted her mistake.
"It is the ward officer's fault since she was not aware that the necessary permissions were in place. She has apologised for her ignorance and will be putting it in place by civic expense now," Thackeray tweeted.
