The Vikhroli police have arrested two people for allegedly threatening the parents of a seven-year-old into withdrawing a complaint filed against their son. The 21-year-old man, an auto driver by profession, was arrested by the Vikhroli police for molesting the child four days ago.

"The accused knows the victim's family well. On Sunday, he took the child to his house and molested her. When she returned home she told her mother about the incident," said a police officer. "The parents immediately registered a police complaint against the man, resulting in his arrest," the officer said.

Yesterday, when the parents were in an auto, the parents of the accused stopped their vehicle. "The man's parents threatened the parents of the victim, asking them to withdraw their complaint or face dire consequences. We received the complaint today and immediately arrested the parents of the accused, too," said DCP (Zone-7) Akhilesh Kumar Singh.
