Bandra will breathe now
South Mumbai has its yoga by the bay on Marine Drive, and now, Bandra gets its own version. Starting this Sunday, Yoga Positive is going to hold sessions at the Bandra Bandstand promenade every Sunday.

Enthusiasts can register via the newly launched SportsJig app, and head to the serene Yoga Garden, yoga mat in tow. It’s heartening that Bandra Bandstand Residents Trust (BBRT) has come on board for this initiative that is open to all. From asanas to breathing, it makes for the ideal setting to exhale.

I’ve got you, girl

Jackie Shroff had his arm wrapped around wife, Ayesha when the two dropped in at a charity exhibition organised by Mana and Suniel Shetty in Worli last evening.

Rhonda wants to keep it real
It’s been a decade since the Rhonda Byrne’s cult self-help title, The Secret, hit bookstores. Since then, the book has brought forth an explosion of real people sharing stories of how their lives have miraculously changed for the better.

Raffle lucky with Junior AB
Football fanatics have never had it so good. The latest is a chance to watch the Blues (Chelsea) take on the Red Devils (Manchester United) on October 23 at Stamford Bridge — all for a pittance of Rs 300. A company is offering raffle tickets (worth Rs 300) to bring once-in-a-lifetime experiences to celebrity fans, and at the same time, direct the money to raise funds for charities.

Winners will have a chance to watch the prestigious fixture with Chelsea fan Abhishek Bachchan, while a majority of the proceeds from sales will be donated to the Samarthanam Trust for the disabled. It sounds like the whole package; except if you’re a United fan who finds himself in the home stands at Stamford Bridge. Oops!

Who was at the big, fat dinner in town?
Community dinners can be fun, especially when some of the best chefs and foodie biz heads break bread together at the same table. Yesterday, the who’s who of Mumbai’s F&B industry showed up and bonded over all things culinary and beyond.

From Kelvin Cheung to Vicky Ratnani, it turned out to be a high-profile affair. The event was organised as part of a sneak-peek into a new Asian gastro pub in Lower Parel, and was hosted by chef Kshama Prabhu and food-preneur Gaurav Gidwani.

Their best foot forward
It seems like the kids belonging to the smallest minority group in the city are setting an example — in a big way. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti this year, in an effort to try and make a difference to the less fortunate, nearly 100 children who are a part of the NGO XYZ (Xtremely Young Zoroastrians) visited 21 baugs and Parsi colonies between Colaba and Goregaon.

The initiative was to collect all types of footwear which would be sent to various NGOs for the underprivileged. What’s astounding is that in the three hours of this activity, the children managed to collect a whopping 12,199 pairs of shoes! Kudos, kids.
