Samrat Tambe and his friend Abbas Patrawala lured girl to a resort in Manori on pretext of setting up a meeting with a filmmaker; they then tricked her into drinking alcohol, and injected her with sedative
A 17-year-old’s Bollywood dreams were exploited by a man from her area and his friend to molest her and force her to perform oral sex on them at a resort in Manori on Tuesday. The culprits, identified as Samrat Tambe (20) and Abbas Patrawala, lured the girl to a resort on the pretext of setting up a meeting with a film director.
Officials from Gorai police station said that the minor knew Tambe, as they were residents of the same locality in Nallasopara. She had told Tambe about her dream of working in films and TV serials. On the pretext of helping her realise her dream, Tambe, who works as a receptionist at a construction site, hatched a plot with Patrawala to sexually exploit her.

The incident
An official said that the molestation took place at a resort in Manori on Tuesday afternoon. He added that Tambe had told the minor that one of his friends (Patrawala), who had contacts in the film industry, had fixed a meeting with a filmmaker at the resort.
After waiting for a while in the room that the duo had booked, the girl started questioning about the filmmaker and his projects. The duo changed the subject by talking about her figure.
They told her that she lacked the model-like figure, which was a must for an aspiring actor. They suggested she start consuming alcohol and taking injections to improve her figure. They told her that they had an injection on them and would like to administer it to her till the time the filmmaker arrives. Unaware of their nefarious intentions, the girl drank alcohol before letting them inject her with the sedative.
As soon as she complained about feeling groggy, the duo undressed and molested her. They even forced her to perform oral sex on them before she passed out. The accused filmed the act and clicked pictures of the undressed girl on their cellphones.
Upon regaining consciousness after two hours, the girl found herself naked in the room. Realising that confrontation with the accused could make things worse, the girl asked them to drop her home. That very night the accused called the girl and told her about the video they had shot. To prove that they were not bluffing, one of them sent her the nude pictures. They threatened to post the video and pictures online if she told anyone about the incident.
However, the girl informed her parents about her ordeal she was subjected to. They then decided to lodge a complaint against the duo at the Gorai police station.
Behind bars
Based on the complaint lodged by the girl, the cops arrested Tambe from his Nalasopara residence and Patrawala from Malad yesterday. Both were booked under Sections 328, 354, 354 (b), 354 (c) of the IPC and the POCSO Act. They were produced in a local court and were remanded in police custody till May 17.
