A forest department official said that the big cat was seen near entering a laboratory, which is quiet big and has many chemicals and furniture, which may pose problems locating the animal.

A team from the Sanjay Gandhi National Park reached IIT campus and started the rescue operations.

The officals plan to trap the leopard by putting up a cage with a bait to lure the leopard inside.

Unconfirmed reports say that the leopard has cubs with it, which if true may make the rescue operation difficult
