If everything goes according to plan then the civil contracts for the construction of the Colaba-Bandra-Seepz underground Metro line three will be awarded by mid September.

A senior MMRC official said, "We are confident that the CBS Metro line construction work of tunnelling and other works will be awarded to the contractors by mid-September. The plan of the resettlement and rehabilitation of the people staying at Kalbadevi and Girgaon area will also be ready in next four to five months."

On Monday afternoon MMRC had organised a press conference during which a new logo of Metro line 3, designed by Design Orb, was unveiled.

“The earlier logo was designed with an elevated Metro-3 corridor in mind as was planned originally. The new logo presents the organisation more appropriately as its more relevant, fresh and robust,” said UPS Madan, Director, MMRC and Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA, while unveiling the new logo.

“It may also be noted that the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation was initially floated as a State Government agency. However, the same now is a joint venture of State and the Central Government and will function as such,” Madan added.

“The infrastructure industry communicates with the world with its brands that are communicative and logos that are relevant to the business”, said Ashwini Bhide, Managing Director, MMRC. “We are looking forward to establishing a fresh dialogue with the city as it desperately is in need of this underground metro corridor which will rid this city of its traffic woes and more importantly the hundreds of on-track deaths”, concluded Bhide.

Metropolitan Commissioner and head of the expert commitee appointed by CM to look into the car depot issue at Aarey Milk Colony said that the report will be sent to the CM who will take a final call.

A reporter present at the press conference even asked a senior MMRC oficial about what MMRC has to say about the Wildlife Institute of India report about leopards from SGNP which was published last week states that there is movement of two leopards in Aarey Milk colony and the camera trap images obtained during the study prove this , to which official said , " I cannot say anything on this as the expert committee appointed by CM has prepared a report by taking all the things into consideration and till the report is out , i cannot comment much."
