Mumbai: The Mumbai Police has banned the use of drones for a month in the city citing terror attack concerns.

"An order has been issued banning drones & unmanned aerial devices (UAV) under CrPC sec 144 in Mumbai.

The ban will be in effect for a month and appropriate action will be taken against anyone who violates order," said a police official, Dhananjay Kulkarni.

The ban came after a drone was sighted near the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, which has been on a terror hit list for years.
