There will be no respite for Mumbaikars from the hot and humid temperature despite early morning showers on Wednesday, say MeT department officials

Though light pre-monsoon showers are expected to hit the city in the next 24 hours, the temperature will remain the same or dip by just one degree, predicted the officials.

“Monsoon has reached Bangalore and western Arabian sea. We will have light showers within Mumbai in the next 24 hours. But we will not see any strong dip in temperature, though it might remain cloudy,” said V K Rajeev, IMD Mumbai director.
The monsoon hit the Kerala coast on Tuesday, four- five days later than its forecast.
