In it's effort to make the lives of Mumbaikars easier, Mumbai Metro One Private Limited has incorporated state of the art features, systems and technologies in metro station that will provide a hassle-free journey experience to commuters
With the 11.07 km Versova- Andheri-Gatkopar metro line one nearing completion, the metro stations have been designed in such a manner as to make the commuter's entire experience a pleasant one.
Taking into consideration all the aspects, the authorities have installed more than 100 LCD televisions, more than 95 escalators and 45 elevators and 100 staircases for easy movement of the passengers in and out of the stations.

In terms of security, the stations will have 700 real time CCTV cameras to monitor and keep an eye on suspicious activities.
The metro stations have been designed in such a manner that in case of emergency people can exit it within 4 minutes, irrespective of commuter location.
The user-friendly stations have been designed on three levels – road level, concourse level and platform level. Elevators are there for access to station. There are a minimum of 4 staircases and 2 escalators. The concourse level will have the ticketing counters, ticket vending machines, and entry and exit gates.
To save energy and provide natural light polycarbonate is used for the platform roofs to throwing translucent lighting.Signage is placed in prominent places to direct the passengers easily and find their way in Marathi, Hindi and English
There are more than 95 escalators, 45 elevators and 100 staircases providing easy movement between road level, concourse and platform.
Safety provisions at station
The metro stations along the 11.07 km VAG metro corridor have been designed for complete evacuation of passengers within 4 minutes in case of emergency.
The doors are fire safe metal doors and the concourse and the platform level are equipped with modern fire alarm and safety devices along with fully equipped modern fire fighting systems
