Legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar revealed how his Mumbai team turned the corner when he was appointed Mumbai captain in the 1993-94 season which culminated in a Ranji Trophy triumph.

He credited his pace pack (Salil Ankola, Abey Kuruvilla, Paras Mhambrey, Manish Patel and Vishal Mahadik) who he felt was the best in India then. Tendulkar was speaking at Mumbai's 500th Ranji Trophy match commemoration ceremony at the Mumbai Cricket Association's BKC ground yesterday. "Results invariably follow your preparation. I remember telling Arjun the groundsman not to cover the wicket, keep a lot of grass on it. It should be a hard surface and bowlers should make our lives uncomfortable," he said.
