Yograj Bhat, who gave south India one of its biggest hits in Mungaaru Male, is now producing his own film

Yograj Bhat, director of the biggest hit in Kannada film history, is all set to become a producer.

He has finalised the story which, as a source said, "will have a message to youth". With Mano Murthy as the music director, he is trying to rework the magic of 'Mungaru Male' (Monsoon Showers).   "He has finalised the story line," said a source close to Yograj Bhat. "The scripting work will start soon." Bhat has decided not to take a break. Work on his home production will begin immediately after the release of Manasare, starring Diganth.

Director's choice

Yograj Bhat will attempt to repeat the success of 'Mungaru Male' under his own banner. His film 'Gaalipata', like 'Mungaru Male', is spun around love and separation.  "His team is almost set," said a source. "They have started working and the plans will soon be revealed." Bhat, who has directed five movies including 'Manasare' to be released this month, will direct his movie besides handling screenplay, script and lyrics.

Sathya Hegde, star cameraman, will handle the camera for this movie. "He has decided to bring in new talent," added the source. "The movie will not bank on stars."

Yograj Bhat preferred not to comment on his change as a producer. "I will come back to you shortly," said he told MiD DAY. "As of now I have only this much to say."
