Singer-songwriter Joss Stone burst into the charts in 2003 with the album The Soul Sessions. Since then, she has gone from strength to strength, carving a niche for herself with her powerful voice and establishing herself as one of the female mainstays of the British music scene. Stone even sang for Superheavy, a supergroup that includes the likes of Mick Jagger and Damian Marley, apart from AR Rahman. She is slated to perform at a Girgaum venue, but the singer hasn't sent in a confirmation yet. So, keep your fingers crossed for this one.

Incubus is an American band that was one of the biggest names of the '90s rock scene. They carried on with their prolific output in the 2000s, releasing seven albums. The five-piece band plays a version of alt-rock that often includes progressive elements without being angsty. Songs like Drive and Wish You Were Here cemented their place in the pantheons of post-millennium American bands, and they will be playing at a music festival with a stellar line-up, which also includes the likes of Alt-J, Marshmello and Major Lazer.

Hip-hop in the city will get a huge boost when Californian artiste Anderson Paak comes down, accompanied by his backing band, The Free Nationals. Paak's music is defined by his raspy voice, with groovy hip-hop beats layered underneath. He has had a troubled life, suffering penury after being caught working on a marijuana farm, and that reflects in his music. Plus, we hear that he will be sharing the stage with another international artiste whose name is being kept a surprise. So, it should be a cracker of a gig all in all.
Tabla meets jazz quartet

A band founded in Montpellier in southern France, the Mezcal Jazz Unit has had an international outlook since inception in 1986. With a love for Mediterranean music, the band has created jazz projects with talented musicians from across the world.
One such collaboration was with tabla maestro Bickram Ghosh, which led to the album One. A decade later, Ghosh and Mezcal are coming together once again for a musical evening.
