Dear Diana, I'm 24 and in a steady relationship with a guy two years older to me.
We get along well except when it comes to music. I keep listening to music all the while — at home and in the car. Even when I am walking, I have my earphones on. At times I sing out loud. He finds my music mania overbearing. We keep having arguments, but I can’t live without music.

Dear Namaah,
Your guy simply does not have a ear for music, so it is best to let him be. He perhaps may be interested in reading, movies or some other pursuits which you may detest — so to each his own. He may find it overbearing when he is around, so for that time keep your ears unplugged and listen to what he is saying and not the music. Gradually, you can make him understand music and why it is an obsession for scores of people out there. Do this, however, slowly and gradually over a period of time to explain why music means the world to you.
Diana will solve it!
