Q. I am 58. My penis is tilting to the left when it is erect and there is a slight bend at the top part as well. Is this unusual? Also if I stop masturbating completely, will it be harmful?
A. Most men usually have their penis tilted towards the left. This is normal. As this tilt on the left and the slight bent at the top has appeared recently, you must get your sonography done to rule out Pyronies disease. But if the tilt is affecting the penetration process then one needs to find out the cause and treat. Masturbation has nothing to do with your problem. Whether you continue or stop. But if the tilt is affecting the penetration process then one needs to find out the cause.

Q. I’m 44 years old. My problem is that from more than two years, whenever I masturbate, I’m suffering from lots of body pain particularly in my right side of abdomen and right leg. Till date I have taken so many painkillers, rubbing balms, oils etc. but no help. I also visited andoroligst, but it was of no use. My medical reports were totally normal. I have realized that only after masturbation, this problem arises. Also I’m taking a tablet for high bp (seloken xl 25) from more than one year. Please suggest suitable solution.
A. Masturbation is a normal and healthy habit and per se does not lead to lot of body pain and the symptoms that you have described. However at your age of 44, if there is decline in male hormone testosterone (which can be evident by reduction in semen volume), you may take longer time to masturbate to the point of orgasm. And the body muscles may go in more spasms and may experience fatigue and sometimes pain. We would advise you diet which is rich in testosterone I.e. Black grams (udad dal) 2 bowls twice a week. This will also help in combating muscle weakness. And if some pain still persists, you can take a hot water shower after the act. Your blood pressure tablet has nothing to do with your present problem.
