'My wife is not impressed by my poetry'

Updated on: 07 December,2012 08:04 AM IST  |
Dear Diana |

Dear Diana, I'm a poet but my wife barely tolerates my verse. I work as a teacher to sustain a family life but my love life has suffered the most. In her head, she surely must be cursing her luck for ending up with me.

'My wife is not impressed by my poetry'

I don’t know how to go about our marriage given that we haven’t had a child yet despite being married for seven years now. She doesn’t seem comfortable sleeping beside me, let alone have physical intimacy. I’ve clearly lost the plot. Please suggest me ways by which I can get my love life back.

Dear Mandh,u00a0
Your rhymes have a reason for you but not for your better half. She is obviously not a lover of poetry. And she is well aware that your poetry cannot alone keep the kitchen fires burning. As you do have a teaching job, there is no reason that she should complain. Try and balance out your work and home fronts. Regarding your love life, this is something that you need to sort out. You are trying to be a Devdas but remember you are not!

Diana will solve it!
