Naomie Harris tags playing Winnie Mandela as 'most challenging assignment'
Naomie Harris has revealed that playing the wife of the South African leader Nelson Mandela in 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom' was the most challenging assignment she has ever had.
The 37-year-old British actress, who is known for her role as Selena in ‘28 Days Later’, said that of all her roles, none have been as strong as her latest role as political leader Winnie Mandela, which she added was the feistiest character she has ever played, the New York Daily News reported.
Harris portrays Winnie, along side Idris Alba who plays the role of Mandela, who comes into her own as an anti-apartheid activist and leader of the African National Congress Women’s League during the 27 years of his imprisonment.
