Navi Mumbai: Cameramen, actor nabbed for exploiting TV actress

Police have registered a case against an actor, director and two cameramen for uploading an obscene video on YouTube. The quartet fooled a television actress into performing an intimate scene with the actor on the pretext that it would be added to an upcoming movie called Bewafa. However, they misused the clip.

Three of the accused were arrested based on the complaint filed by the 25-year-old actress on February 7. While the two cameramen, identified as Ritesh and Ashwin, were arrested in the second week of February, actor Mohammed Salauddin was nabbed last Friday.

A police officer said, “The director, who is still on the run, approached the actress through the cameramen. They tricked her into enacting the intimate scene by claiming that it was important part for their upcoming film Bewafa. The unsuspecting actress agreed to do it.”

The scene was shot in November at Khandeshwar, Navi Mumbai, and was later uploaded on YouTube. Cops said they lured the trio by posing as producers who wanted to hire them for a movie. After the arrests, police officials approached the Cyber Crime Cell and pulled down the video from YouTube.
