Navy beat Police 4-0 to enter Nadkarni Cup semis

Indian Navy beat Maharashtra State Police (MSP) 4-1 in the quarter-finals of the Nadkarni Cup football tournament at the RCF Sports Complex in Chembur yesterday.

The first half saw Indian Navy dominate the proceedings but end up with only one goal to show for their efforts, coming from Anoop Pauli in the 16th minute.

The second half saw Navy run roughshod, pumping in three more goals. Biplab Dhar increased the lead in the 48th minute, before Riyad B and Sunil Kumar added two more in the 63rd and 78th minutes respectively.
