Southern belle Nayanthara's picture has been used by Bihar cops to capture a dreaded gangster by laying out a honey trap for him
Actress Nayanthara has always been in the news, be it a controversy or her films. The female superstar never fails to make it to the headlines, but this time she is in the news for all the right reasons. Even though she is not directly connected to the incident. In a report according to Pinkvilla in an unforeseen and astonishing development, police department of Bihar nab a thief in a never-seen-before style plot by using a picture of South Indian top actress Nayanthara. According to a report in India Today, the thief had stolen the mobile phone of a local political leader in Darbhanga district of Bihar, who reported the theft to the cops. According to the police report, the dreaded gangster Mohammad Hasnain had stolen the mobile phone of BJP leader Sanjay Kumar and had been absconding. The case was registered and was being investigated by senior police officer Madhubala Devi who started tracing the CDR (call data records) of the phone and it was found that the device was still being used by Hasnain.

The officer, Madhubala Devi, then posed as a girl interested in a love proposal to him and started contacting him. Hasnain, according to reports, did not initially respond but after a few days he started responding to her messages. Hasnain, one fine day, asked for a picture of the girl and the officer, in turn, sent a picture of Tamil actress Nayanthara which made the gangster very happy and he agreed to meet one day. And on the day of the meeting, the gangster was grabbed from the point of meeting by the police officials who were present around dressed as normal civilians. The officer, Madhubala, went to meet the gangster clad in burqa and hence, the gangster couldn’t identify her. The lady cop is being lauded for her intelligent move to nab the criminal and was appreciated by the media and local political leaders of Bihar.
Nayanthara is a popular actress in South Indian cinema and is often compared to Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra in terms stature and acting abilities. Nayanthara is even referred to as the 'Lady Superstar' of South Indian cinema for her achievements. On the work front, Nayanthara just had a release – Velaikkaran – starring Sivakarthikyan in the other lead role. Besides Velaikkaran, Nayanthara has 'Jai Simha;' alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna in her kitty.
