Brother-in-law of an NCP corporator allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence at suburban Ghatkopar here, police said today.

Sanil (35) was the brother-in-law of NCP corporator Rekha Jadhav.

Police said that Sanil's cousin Kumar found him hanging from the ceiling hook yesterday after he managed to enter the house using a duplicate key as the door was locked from inside.
He was declared dead on arrival after Jadhav and her husband Suresh rushed him to BMC-run Rajawadi Hospital.
Though police did not find any suicide note but a message saved in the draft folder of Sanil's mobile phone, which read, "Mein Zindagi main har gaya hoon", (I have lost to life").
According to police, this message was drafted to send to someone but it was not released. A case of accidental death has been registered in this regard.
