The trailer of Neeraj Pandey's 'Aiyaary' released on Tuesday and the mentor-protégé bond between Manoj Bajpayee and Sidharth Malhotra has got us hooked. Aiyaary revolves around two strong-minded army officers having completely different views, yet right in their own ways. The film portrays Sidharth Malhotra as an army officer sharing a mentor-protégé bond with Manoj Bajpayee.

The trailer showcases the loyal and obedient officer Major Jai Bakshi aka Sidharth Malhotra who idolizes his mentor Colonel Abhay Singh aka Manoj Bajpayee. The interesting turn of events leaves the audience intrigued as to what lead to the two pitted against each other.


The trailer dwells on the mystery of how the protégé turned against his own mentor and also hints at an ongoing scam that risks the reputation of the entire Indian Army.

'Aiyaary's trailer features the ensemble cast of power packed performers like Manoj Bajpayee, Sidharth Malhotra, Anupam Kher, Naseeruddin Shah, Rakul Preet Singh, Pooja Chopra, Adil Hussain, Kumud Mishra and Vikram Gokhale and also makes a strong promise of content.

Manoj Bajpayee is seen as the strict and focused army official who can go to any extent to protect the dignity of the Indian army.

Sidharth Malhotra as Jai Bakshi showcases a drastic change in intentions from the honest and loyal army officer to a rogue.

Kumud Mishra's character showcases shades of gray along with Adil Hussain. Vikram Gokhale and Anupam Kher are seen in authoritative positions. The character of Naseeruddin Shah catches our interest his powerful closing statement.

The poster of the film released recently and depicted the ensemble cast and locations where the film has been shot. The makers had earlier released a sizzle to the film showcasing the behind the scenes of the film, raising the excitement of the audience.

With films like 'Special 26', 'Baby', 'Rustom' amongst others Neeraj Pandey has paid tribute to the uniform officials of the nation that serve its public. 'Aiyaary' will yet again be an ode to army officials.

Neeraj Pandey will return to direction two years after his last directorial 'M.S. Dhoni' which not only won accolades from the audience and critics but also emerged victorious at the box office.

The ace filmmaker won the hearts of the audience with his appealing films that have a realistic touch like 'A Wednesday', 'Special 26', M.S. Dhoni' etc. The audience is keen on witnessing yet another mind-bending film by the filmmaker.
