NEET starts on a wrong note
The first-ever National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admissions for under graduate courses in medicine that was held yesterday had its share of glitches.
While some students complained that the question paper had out of syllabus questions, a few were surprised at the demand for a postcard size photograph (not passport size) prior to exam along with other documents.
“Although the exam is based on NCERT, some of the questions, especially in Biology paper, were out of NCERT syllabus. In some of the questions, statements mentioned had discrepancies. Some of the examples given had no mention in the current edition of the NCERT. For such questions we should be given the benefit,” a student said.
