According to the society members, Ravi was sitting at the steps of the building, exhausted after a cricket match, when suddenly the slab collapsed over him.

At hearing the blaring sound and screams, people from the society and near by areas gathered for help. They immediately called for an ambulance and fire brigade.

However it took close to an hour to remove him from the heavy debris. He was rushed to the nearby Cooper Hospital but was declared dead at arrival.

Doctors say that every inch of his body was fractured and there was no way he could survive.

Ravi worked as a body guard for many Bollywood celebrities. He lived with his mother, who is an employee of New India Assurance.

The training institue building is 38 years old. It underwent renovation and plastering recently about 2 years ago. Therefore, this fall was unexpected and very shocking.u00a0
