A police official said the grandson of the legislators was born to their son Abhishek alias Raja Babu and his wife Khushi yesterday at the hospital located in the heart of the city.

Muzaffarpur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ranjit Kumar Mishra visited the spot and is reviewing the incident. We have also arrested two private guards - Ajay Kumar Rai and Kumar Rakesh - posted at the entrance of the hospital. They are being interrogated," the SSP said today.

"Khushi was resting with her baby in her room in the hospital in the afternoon, when two well dressed women came. They praised the infant and started playing with him. As time passed, the mother fell asleep and the two escaped with the newborn," the police official said.
