Saturday's protests by Raza Academy at Azad Maidan against killings in Myanmar, have damaged the cricket pitches at the Maidan to such an extent that today's Dr H D Kanga Cricket League matches have been cancelled.

The League kicked off on July 29 with only ‘G’ division ties. All other teams played their first game on August 5 and were all set to continue till Mumbai Cricket Association’s Kanga League sub-committee secretary Vinod Deshpande announced in a press release on Saturday that matches were cancelled.
