It's a clear case of cold and cough." He also confirmed late in the day that the two patients had been discharged.
When contacted Dr D B Kadam, head of medicine at Sassoon Hospital, who headed the panel of doctors looking into the case, refused to give out the names of the patients and said, "It's their right to not want to disclose their identities. The point here is that they are of no risk to the society. That's all that matters."
One patient had recently returned from the US and another from Spain two countries affected by the swine flu.
When they complained of sore throat, they were referred to the Sassoon Hospital for tests.
Sassoon then admitted them to Naidu Hospital while they waited for the National Institute of Virology to test their blood samples for swine flu.
