No untoward incidents were on Friday reported across the megapolis during the Republic Day celebration, police said. The Republic Day celebrations went off peacefully in Mumbai and no untoward incident was reported from any part of the city, a senior police official said.

Mumbai Police had stepped up security at all vital installations and sensitive locations, the official said. Quick Response Teams were also deployed in the city.
